Raised in Western Washington, attended Pacific Lutheran University and Concordia Theological Seminary. My focus in life is “introducing people to the person of Jesus Christ.” I have been a Pastor for 35 years, serving at Immanuel Lutheran for almost fifteen of those years. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Sharlee for 40 years. We have two wonderful daughters, Heather and Holly. I love the Puyallup Valley, Mt. Rainier, Motorcycles and Airplanes.

A graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary.  Serving Immanuel on a part-time basis since retiring from full-time ministry at The Congregation of the Good Shepherd, an international congregation in Beijing, China.  Now serving senior citizens and others who are home-bound.  I am the director and trainer of Stephen ministry, a one-on-one support system for people in particular need.  I am blessed to have time for teaching two Bible studies in addition to the personal service that I provide.

A graduate of Concordia University in St. Paul, MN she has been on staff at Immanuel since 1995. Her responsibilities include worship leadership, children’s ministry and social ministry. In her spare time she loves spending time with her husband, Dave, their sons, Casey & Jayson, daughter Shelby and their dogs Bear and Raffi. She also loves gardening, canning, reading and trying new crafts.

Doug joined Immanuel’s staff in February 2004.  He is a Director of Christian Education, is married to Beth and has a son, Cole.  Doug is working on a Master’s degree in ministry leadership.  His hobbies include restoring old Volkswagens and mountain biking. Doug loves working with Junior and Senior High Youth.

Mark Zier

Mark has been a part of the Puyallup community since 1966 and joined the Immanuel staff in the fall of 2003. He and his wife, Beth have been married since 1985 and they have two sons, Brian and Jacob. Mark shares in worship leadership, preaching, teaching, and pastoral care as well as helping folks get, and stay connected in the life of Immanuel.

Michelle grew up in Washington and graduated from Western Washington University.  She currently works as the Preschool & Office Administrator.  Michelle originally joined the Preschool staff in 2005, and has gradually taken on other duties as needed.  She has been married to her husband John since 1993 and they have two boys, Tyler & Trevor (both preschool alumni).  She enjoys the preschool children and their families and watching the Preschool grow.  Her hobbies are watching movies (with a diet coke) and organizing.

Judi and her husband Dan were born and raised in the Puyallup area.  They have three children, twin boys, Zac and Josh, and a daughter Julia.  Judi loves camping, watching her kids play sports and spending time with family and friends.
